Flour milling
Flour milling

The Bromham Millers will revive flour milling, serve food and drinks, set up a shop, and work with local schools.

We’ll bring the Barns back into use as a craft workshop and a d-i-y craft studio, and offer advice sessions and arts and craft events for all.

We'll rebuild the old workshop, and in it will be a bakery, our drop-in centre, a health and hygiene room, toilets (including top-class facilities for disabled people), and a craft workroom.

On occasional weekends, mainly during the summer and autumn, we’ll run events, like Apple Day, in the meadow.

Apple DayIn our flour mill, bakery, café, catering and shop, we’ll offer local organic produce and dishes. This part of England lags behind other regions in organic farming and horticulture.

"I think, and so do my wife and family, that the Mill’s a wonderful part of English heritage, something that's got to be preserved, for the following generations, and it is just a typical part of England that is so beautiful. There's no doubt about that. And it deserves every encouragement. The Apple Days have been absolutely great. But of course it's had a rather limited use. The rest of the year we've often wished it had been open, okay, for exhibitions and such like it’s been great, but not for main events, not like Apple Day. And to have something as is being proposed, is excellent. It’s superb." [Male, North Bedfordshire]
